Gretchen Marquette is the author of May Day (Graywolf Press, 2016.) Her poetry has appeared in Poetry, Harper’s, the Paris Review, Tin House, PBS Newshour, and other places. She lives in Minneapolis.
Halee Kirkwood
Associate Editor
Halee Kirkwood is a first-generation graduate of Northland College and a MFA student at Hamline University. Kirkwood is a descendant of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Ojibwe. Their work has been published or is forthcoming in Muzzle Magazine, ctrl+v, Cream City Review, Midwest Gothic, and others. Kirkwood is current associate editor for Runestone and was selected as a teaching fellow for the 2019 Desert Nights, Rising Stars writing conference at Arizona State University.
Meghan Maloney-Vinz
Managing Editor
Meghan Maloney-Vinz is the managing editor of all three literary journals of Hamline University Creative Writing Programs: Runestone; rock, paper, scissors (the in-program graduate student journal); and Water~Stone Review, the nationally acclaimed literary annual. Maloney-Vinz is also a founding member and layout manager for broadcraft press.

Alexa Calliguri
Alexa Calliguri is a senior at Hamline University. She won Hamline’s Broadside Award for CNF in Spring 2018. She lives in Lonsdale, Minnesota, where she is made fun of for taking things out of the trash and putting them in the recycling bin.
Tijqua Daiker
Tijqua Daiker lives in Minnesota.
Conner Doleza
Conner Dolezal is in his fourth year studying for his BFA at Hamline. His academic focus is in fiction, though he also maintains an interest in screenwriting and amateur film making.
Jonathan Dosedel
Jonathan Dosedel is currently a student in the BFA program at Hamline University.
Kierann Elliott
Kierann Elliott lives and works in the Twin Cities. Her work has been published in The Fulcrum.
Max Firehammer
Max Firehammer divides his time between Saint Paul, Minnesota and Missoula, Montana. His favorite Tom Waits tune is “Goin’ Out West.”
Aimee Keenan
Aimee Keenan is currently a student in the BFA program at Hamline University.
Katie Flint
Katie Flint is a senior at Hamline Universty, pursuing a BFA in Creative Writing. Her work can be found in The Fulcrum, and Sensicality. She loves writing fiction and poetry and enjoys exploring different genres. She adores dogs and almost every other creature on the planet except mosquitos. She can usually be found on the floor binge watching Netflix while her puppies snooze on the couch.
Jennifer Fritton
Jennifer Fritton is a junior BFA student at Hamline University in St. Paul, MN. She’s working towards a degree in Creative Writing and is looking forward to her retirement in 70 years.
Gennifer Georges-Tschida
Gennifer Georges-Tschida is a full time student at Hamline University. Previously graduated from St. Paul College with an A.A.S. Degree in entrepreneurship photography. She is a member of Phi Theta Kappa, a graduate of the school of The Flower of Life, the teachings of Drunvalo Melchizidek and, an ordained Pagan Minister. Gennifer’s favorite genre of writing is memoir and poetry. She likes to paint rocks, photography, garden and cook in her spare time.
Sophia Grindland
Sophia Grindland is a senior at Hamline University pursuing a BFA in creative writing. Her passions include: drawing, writing fiction and poetry, and finding new and clever ways to break her readers’ hearts. She has far too many ideas and hopes to make at least some of them publishable soon.
Megyn Johanson
Megyn Johanson is a creative writing major at Hamline University. In addition to reading, she likes studying languages, playing tabletop games, and asking offbeat questions. She wants to know what color your legs would be if they had to be a different color than the rest of your body.
Molly Johnson
Molly Johnson lives and writes in the Twin Cities. She is a senior at Hamline University, working towards a BFA in Creative Writing. She was awarded the 2018 HU Broadside Award in fiction and plans to continue developing her writing after graduation.
Skyler Kane
Skyler Kane is a junior at Hamline University studying creative writing. Fully under the belief that living just one life is sad and boring, Skyler has found a home in storytelling. She spends her days collecting books, imagining that one day she might see her name on one.
Madison Lass
Madison Lass is working towards her BFA in creative writing with a minor in English at Hamline University (May 2019). She lives and works in the Twin Cities.
Abigail Morton
Abigail Morton is a senior at Hamline University majoring in English with a creative writing concentration and minoring in women’s studies. She enjoys reading works by Stephen King and hopes to have her own horror novels published in the future, with multiple pieces of such fiction currently in the works.
Alyxandra Sego
Alyxandra Sego is a student at Hamline University studying creative writing. She lives in St. Paul, Minnesota with her husband Taylor and her dying plants.
Olivia Skjervold
Olivia Skjervold is a senior BFA in creative writing at Hamline University. She hopes to continue to writing after graduation and purse publication herself.

Noah Tilsen is currently a student in the BFA program at Hamline University.
Lauren Stretar
Lauren Stretar is a current BFA student at Hamline University. She is primarily a fiction writer, and currently drafting her first novel. When not writing, you’ll find her in the kitchen baking.
Sandra Vang
Sandra Vang is a senior at Hamline University majoring in English with a concentration in creative writing and minoring in Chinese. When she’s not writing or reading, she is spending her time hanging with friends somewhere in a corner. Currently, she is working on a few short stories and microfiction.
